MONTEREY – Thanks to several citizen tips coming in to the Monterey Police Department, 27-year-old Garrett Carter was successfully identified the suspect in several robbery cases.
Officers located Carter in a parked vehicle as it sat in a parking lot in the 300 block of Lighthouse Avenue.
Carter “surrendered without incident.” Inside of his vehicle detectives found a toy replica handgun. They also found clothing that the suspect had worn in all four robberies.
Carter was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of three counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.”
He now has a bail set at $160,000.
