Florida Man Drives All The Way To El Dorado County California – With A Gun

PLACERVILLE – An around-the-clock investigation began on June 24th in an interstate stalking and threats case.
The suspect drove all the way from Florida to El Dorado County. Investigation revealed that the suspect was in the South Lake Tahoe area . The suspect had made “credible and serious threats (made) against the victim’s life.”
On June 26th a set-up was arranged in which the suspect was led to believe that he would be meeting his intended victim at a restaurant in South Lake Tahoe.
Instead, detectives from both the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and El Dorado Sheriff’s Office met him and took him into custody. He was in possession of a loaded firearm in his pocket at the time.
Florida resident Donald Martin, of Ormand Beach, was booked into the El Dorado County Jail for on stalking charges, with his bail set at $60,000.
