EL CENTRO – The El Centro Regional Medical Center reported a stabbing to the El Centro Police Department on the morning of Friday July 12th.
The victim was reportedly at a fast food restaurant in the 300 block of North Imperial Avenue when “he was randomly stabbed once by a subject for no apparent reason.”
Soon after, a report of another stabbing came in to the ECPD. This time, the stabbing near a business in the 600 block of North Imperial Avenue. Officers quickly arrived on scene and located the suspect near by. He was promptly placed under arrest.
The as yet unnamed suspect was identified as the attacker in both incidents. It appears as if “both incidents were unprovoked and the victims had no prior relationship with the suspect.”
