MERCED – 47-year-old Floyd Lawrence was already a convicted felon. The Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit “developed information” that Lawrence had guns and drugs at his residence.
With a search warrant, the GVSU went to the residence on Skylark Court on July 19.
Officers discovered a gun, ammunition, 30 grams of rock cocaine, and cash.
Lawrence was then arrested and then booked for the charges of sales of narcotics and weapons charges. As a convicted felon, he cannot lawfully possess firearms.
