Three arrested on gun, drug, child endangerment charges in Hollister
HOLLISTER — The serving of a search warrant led to the arrest of three suspects on multiple charges, including child endangerment, on the morning of August 9th.
At around 7 AM, authorities from multiple agencies served a search warrant at a home in the 900 block of Apple Court.
Named in the warrant was one Lawrence Escobedo Torres, 36, who was wanted on outstanding felony state, and one federal, warrant.
Two other suspects — Joe Angel Rojas (39) and Ashley Davila (30) — and four children all exited the residence when prompted by authorities.
Torres, however, fled through a back door, then went back inside when met by police. Ultimately, police had to deploy tear gas to flush him out. He was later booked on weapon and drug-related charges.
Rojas was booked on weapon charges and child endangerment and Davila on charges of child endangerment.
Police also recovered three handguns, one semi-automatic short-barreled rifle, ammunition, and controlled substances.
