Recent investigation into a sex crime report has led to an arrest. The crime is alleged to have taken place in the Porterville area, within jurisdiction of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office who tasked detectives of their Special Victims Unit to investigate.
Their inquiry procured evidence of 34-year old William Epperly’s repeated involvement in lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. Detectives were also issued a forensic search warrant, leading them to find multiple images of child pornography of which Epperly was in possession, involving children ages 6 to 10.
Epperly was arrested on August 7th and booked into Tulare County’s Adult Pre-Trial Facility. He faces charges related to possession or control of child pornography, lewd acts upon a child under the age of 16, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His bail is set at $290,000.
