SAN FRANCISCO – On August 11th, Austin James Vincent assaulted an unidentified victimr and was arrested for that crime. However after his arrest, a woman saw his booking photo and recognized Vincent as the one who had committed another assault on February 4th.
In February, the victim was out with several of her friends when Vincent approached them with a knife and threatened to kill them, advancing on them.
The group ran to a ride share vehicle and left the city. Although officers with the San Francisco Police Department came to the scene, they did not locate anyone.
This month, with an arrest warrant, began surveillance of the ankle-monitor-wearing Vincent as he was “receiving treatment in a San Francisco residential facility.”
Vincent surrendered at his court appearance, with the help of his attorneys. The pres releases says that “Vincent is expected to be booked into the San Francisco County Jail.”
The SPD is investigating other incidents in an effort to see if Vincent was the perpetrator in those as well.
