LASSEN COUNTY – Wednesday August 14th was the date for a large compliance sweep in Bieber, McArthur, Little Valley, Termo, Westwood, Clear Creek, Eagle Lake, Susanville, Janesville, Standish, Milford, Litchfield, Doyle, Herlong and Chilcoot.
The sweep was a check on CDCR parolees and sex offenders in the region. A total of 27 deputies and officers participate in the sweep. The operation lasted the entire day, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The goal of the sweep is to ensure that parolees living in Lassen County “are in compliance with their parole terms.”
As a result, 47-year-old Neil Stamper of Susanville and 70-year-old John Gravier of Janesville were arrested for parole violations.
Participating agencies included the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, High Desert State Prison, California Correctional Center and the California State Parole Office.
