Modesto – On March 12th this year, officers with the Modesto Police Department came to an area behind Sin-Cal Industries and discovered 25-year-old Lawrence Walker, shot and unresponsive.
Although he was taken to the hospital, Walker died due to his injuries.
The investigation that followed named 36-year-old Jeremy Don Fennell as the man who shot Walker. Fennell was arrested that night and booked into Stanislaus County Jail, but was later released from custody.
The investigation continued and, after obtaining more information and evidence, on August 20th detectives “obtained a arrest warrant for Fennell for murder with personal use of a firearm enhancement.”
When Fennell was made aware of the warrant, he turned himself in to the MPD.
