LASSEN COUNTY – On August 18th a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed caught the attention of Lassen County Sheriff’s deputies.
After a few sharp turns apparently designed to be evasive, the driver pulled the car into a residential driveway. The deputies contacted the two occupants of the vehicle, while the resident whose driveway they pulled came out to let law enforcement know he did not know the pair.
Each of the two convicted felons had ammunition and semi-automatic pistol magazines in their pockets. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two semi-automatic handguns. The two guns had been “reported stolen in two separate incidents.”
44-year-old Douglas Roderick and 30 year-old Winston Philip Luna were booked for several felony charges that include being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a concealed weapon by a felon and possession of stolen property.
Each of the two suspects were assessed a $30,000 bail.
