Victorville PD Detail Nabs Auto-Break-In Burglar and his Loot from Five Cities

HESPERIA – A Search Warrant Service and Recovery of Property Detail was at the fore when Victorville PD Officers arrived on-scene at the 7700 block of Third Avenue on August 22nd. The suspect, Nicholas Dennis (27) had been busy plundering booty from automobiles in a wide area spanning five cities.
“Investigators from the Victorville Police Department’s, Gang Enforcement Team and Detective Bureau served a search warrant related to a series of vehicle burglaries which occurred in Victorville, Hesperia, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Hills,” said Deputy F. Trujillo.
Multiple agencies worked together to identify the suspect. Due to separate burglary charges, Dennis is currently in custody with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
“During the service of the search warrant, investigators located an array of stolen property related to the vehicle burglaries. Three firearms, a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, and a marijuana extraction lab were also located.”
Some of the stolen property has been successfully ID’d and returned to several victims. Victorville PD wants any victims to know that there is property waiting to be claimed. There is a wide array of stolen items waiting for their owners, including (but not limited to):
• Laptops
• Power Tools/Storage Bags
• Purses
• Digital Cameras
• Misc. Jewelry
• Misc. Passports/Identification Cards
