LANCASTER – The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced charges on September 13th for Anaiyah Alise Perry (4/22/98) of Lancaster for killing her 7-month-old son last November.
When Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies gave a 911 response on Novembert 6th to the 44000 block of Moccasin Place, they encountered a sad scene. Royal M. Perry’s son, was suffering from head and neck injuries.
An immediate airlift to Children’s Hospital in L.A. took place. Unfortunately, the baby boy died the next day.
The mother was handed charges of one count each of murder and assault on a child causing death. Her arraignment for case #MA077209. took place in Department A01 of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Antelope Valley Branch.
“If convicted as charged, Perry faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison,” said Greg Risling. “The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”
Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami of the Complex Child Abuse Section, Family Violence Division, is prosecuting the case.
