Riverside man arrested, accused of sexual assault on minor in 2018

BUENA PARK — Police have arrested a Riverside man in connection to the alleged sexual assault of a minor that occurred in July of last year.
37-year-old Jorge Adan Gonzalez-Cervantes, who worked as a hairstylist, is accused of assaulting the 15-year-old victim during a haircut session at a now-closed beauty salon in the area of Lincoln and Knott Avenues.
Though the alleged assault happened last year, authorities were not able to locate Cervantes until August 30th of this year, which is when he was arrested.
At this point there is only one known victim, police say, but the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information relevant to the case is strongly encouraged to contact Buena Park PD at (714) 562 – 3901.
