FAIRFIELD – The Fairfield Police Department assisted the US Secret Service and US Marshal’s Service when the two organizations called on them for support in recent weeks.
On August 28th the call came in from near a residence in the 3300 block of Shenandoah Court. As the Secret Service conducted an investigation centering on the residence, during which, they came across “an uncooperative person who barricaded himself and refused to come out.”
Fairfield PD established a perimeter around the residence. SWAT was then asked to also come and assist. No one inside the residence responded to contact attempts made by law enforcement.
Tear gas was sent into the house and six eventually people came out. Federal agents took the unnamed six individuals away. No injuries were reported from the eight-hour incident and no further details have been released at this time.
