ARROYO GRANDE – On the morning of September 6th officers with the Arroyo Grande Police Department went to a residence in the 1000 block of Magnolia Drive after they received a call concerning a burglary.
It turns out that a male suspect had been caught on surveillance cameras as he prowled around the neighborhood checking into mailboxes.
The AGPD sent out clips form the video, and were therefore able to pin an identity onto the burglary suspect – 29-year-old Jose Beas Ramirez.
Ramirez was identified as a San Luis Obispo transient.
Officers located Ramirez on the same day at a local residence. The ensuing probation search located the stolen items from the Magnolia Drive heist, as well as other items from previous thefts.
Ramirez was “booked for first degree burglary and outstanding arrest warrants.”
The AGPD put out word to its residents to contact them if they had been burglarized, in an attempt to have stolen property returned to them.
