Father from Needles is Arrested for Murdering His 3-Month-Old Daughter
A Needles resident is facing homicide charges for the murder of his 3-month-old daughter.
The infant was brought to the emergency room at Colorado River Medical Center on November 7, 2019, where medical staff reported that she was not breathing. A helicopter transported her to Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Medical staff in Las Vegas determined the victim would not survive and her injuries were most likely caused by abuse,” according to the written release. This incited an investigation by Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station and Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children.
The following day, the baby died as a result of her injuries. The “investigation transitioned to a homicide investigation,” with the infant’s father, 28-year-old Stefan Jackson, as the primary suspect. Jackson was arrested and booked for murdering his daughter. He was being held without bail at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. He was scheduled to appear in court on November 12th.
