On November 10 a trio of suspects were arrested in the La Canada Flintridge area in connection with a series of “knock knock” burglaries.
Investigators noticed a Lexus driving recklessly on Angeles Crest Highway and continuing to do so onto the southbound 2 freeway, at a high rate of speed.
An attempted traffic stop was unsuccessful and a brief pursuit ensued. In fact, the pursuit ended for safety reasons as the suspect continued driving fast.
Soon the fleeing driver “was involved in a traffic collision near the 2 Freeway and Mountain Street exit in Glendale.”
Once the Lexus stopped, two of the three occupants tried to flee. However, all three were soon detained.
The press release details that “jewelry and other miscellaneous property located at the scene of the crash was linked to at least one residential burglary which occurred earlier in the morning on the 800 block of Lynnhaven Lane in the city of La Canada Flintridge. The suspects are believed to have committed a second residential burglary earlier the same morning on the 5500 block of Burning Tree Drive in La Canada Flintridge.”
The three suspects, listed by last name only, are –
- Murphy (driver), booked on 2 counts of residential burglary, hit and run with injury, and evading;
- Walker, booked on two counts of residential burglary;
- Garcia, booked on two counts of residential burglary.
The first names of the three suspects were not released.
