San Diego Sheriff’s Department searches for hit and run driver

A hit and run suspect is on the loose in San Diego according the following press release published by the San Diego Police Department.
“On November 9, 2019 at around 2:00 a.m., the victim was walking southbound in the alley between 10th Street and 11th Street. An unknown vehicle which was driving northbound in the alley struck the victim. The suspect did not stop to check on the victim and fled the scene.
The victim sustained multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s injuries include fractures to his pelvis, tibia, fibula and femur. The victim also suffered multiple lacerations to his body and head. The victim is expected to survive, but remains hospitalized.
Investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Reconstruction Team were called out to assist the North Coastal Station’s Traffic Unit with the investigation. Based on their findings, they believe the suspect vehicle is a light colored (possibly white) compact SUV with minor damage to the front of the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Unit. Investigators are asking any local collision damage repair shops that may have performed work recently on the suspect vehicle to please contact them.”
