The Glenn County District Attorney’s Office published the following Press Release in regards to cases hear in court on November 15th 2019.
“PEOPLE V. CARRILLO, ALONSO– Defendant, a 30-year-old from Hamilton City, plead guilty to a felony violation of Penal Code section 192(a), Voluntary Manslaughter and admitted Penal Code section 12022.5, Personal Use of a Firearm, Penal Code 211, First Degree Residential Robbery. The stipulated facts were as follows: On March 16, 2018, Defendant Alonso Carrillo and 2 other defendants went to the home of Donald Zucker. While at the home of Donald Zucker to rob him of his marijuana, when Defendant Alonso Carrillo admitted to shooting Mr. Zucker. The sentencing date is presently set for February 21, 2020. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart and DDA Vacek with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Blair and Knight.
PEOPLE V. CAMARENA, JOE – Defendant plead guilty to FIVE separate felony violations of Penal Code sections 496(a), Possession of Stolen Property. Between August 2017 to March of 2018, the Defendant was involved in multiple thefts of farm equipment from farms and ranches in the Orland and Capay area. Sentencing will be on January 10, 2020. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Blair.
PEOPLE V. DELAO-HINOJOSA, JESUS – Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 23153(a), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Great Bodily Injury. Defendant was sentenced to 180 days jail and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from the CHP – Willows Officer Ovard.
PEOPLE V. LOVELL, JOHN – Defendant was convicted of TWO felony violations of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Defendant was sentenced to 180 days jail and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Warden Beals.
PEOPLE V. JOHNSON, MARTIANA – Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 487/484g, Grand Theft by Access Card. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from the Orland Police Department Officer Roenspie, Sgt. Cessna, and Chief Vlach.
PEOPLE V. CROSS, BREANNA – Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 496d(a), Receiving a Stolen Vehicle and Health and Safety Code section 11377(a), Possession of Methamphetamine. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail, drug court, and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Ayres and Lemmon and Agent Lopeteguy.
PEOPLE V. SULLENDER, CHRISTIAN – Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 368(b)(1), Elder Abuse. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy McIntyre.”
