Juvenile arrested on suspicion of threats against San Rafael High
SAN RAFAEL — A local juvenile has been taken into custody on suspicion of making threats against San Rafael High School on social media.
Local police began receiving reports of threatening posts on various social media platforms on the afternoon of Monday, November 11, which were traced to the juvenile.
Detectives coordinated with San Rafael High School officials, San Rafael City Schools, and the social media platforms themselves in order to determine the owner of the accounts.
After being identified and taken into custody, he was booked at the Marin County Juvenile Hall.
The threats reportedly specified dates of November 13 and November 25, and no other school was named.
