As reported by the Desert Hot Springs Police Department’s Official Facebook Page:
“Desert Hot Springs, November 18, 2019: At approximately 10:13 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2019, Desert Hot Springs Police Officers responded to a shooting call in the 12200 Block of Palm Dr.
Upon arriving at the scene, Officers located a shooting victim and began life saving measures; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of his kin.
Responding Detectives quickly gathered investigative leads, which led to the arrest of 19-year-old Matthew Gallegos of Desert Hot Springs. Gallegos was booked into Banning Jail for Murder.
