The Santa Rosa Police Department reports a burglary whose perpetrators are still on the loose –
“On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 3:36am, Santa Rosa Police Officers responded to a marijuana business in the 900 block of Piner Place for a burglar alarm activation.
Officers arrived to find a burglary crew actively stealing marijuana from the business. The suspects, believed to be six black male adults in their mid-twenties, ran to three waiting vehicles stashed with stolen marijuana. They fled the scene driving over a sidewalk and collided with an officer’s vehicle blocking their path. While driving away, they left a trail of marijuana scattered on city streets.
The driver of one suspect vehicle did not yield to one of the initial responding officer’s emergency lights and sirens. A vehicle pursuit was initiated which eventually traveled southbound Hwy 101 through Rohnert Park. The vehicle pursuit reached speeds in excess of 100 MPH as it continued southbound 101 near Cotati. The pursuit was ultimately terminated because of the suspect’s unsafe driving and their wanton disregard for the public’s safety.
All the involved suspects are still outstanding. They were last seen driving a white newer model Infinity Sedan and a dark colored newer model Infinity Sedan. They are believed to be responsible for other marijuana business burglaries throughout the bay area.
The loss to the business is still being determined. Santa Rosa Police Deparment’s Property Crimes Investigation Team will be taking over the investigation. They can be reached at (707) 543-3575.
