“Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a strong-arm robbery of the Olivehurst Rite-Aid Pharmacy located in the 5000 block of Olivehurst Avenue in Olivehurst that occurred on 12/10/19 around 6:35 p.m.
Rite Aid employees reported two black males, one described as “younger” and possible a teenager, jumped the pharmacy counter and stole prescription medication, before fleeing in an unknown vehicle. It was reported that no weapons were seen and nobody was injured.
Deputies on patrol in south Yuba County immediately responded to the area within one minute of the 911 call and worked a perimeter around Olivehurst and the southbound Hwy 70 Corridor leading out of the county, based on investigative information obtained that indicated the suspects’ vehicle was heading south toward Sacramento. Despite multiple patrol units attempting to find the fleeing vehicle, the suspects were not located. The investigation remains active and ongoing.”
