RIVERSIDE – Late in the night on December 21st two officers with the Riverside Police Department came upon a suspicious person on a bike.
The encounter occurred around 14th Street and Magnolia Avenue, the “entertainment district.”
It turns out the bike rider “was on Post Release Community Supervision for grand theft auto.”
The officers then searched 32-year-old Isaac Villegas and found several of what are called “jiggler” keys, as well as meth hidden in a flashlight.
A jioggler key is one that is “filed down or cut keys used to defeat a vehicle ignition or house door typically used for breaking in a house or stealing a car.”
Villegas was “arrested and booked into jail for violation of his PRCS, possession of burglary tools, and possession of illegal drugs.”
As the RPD notes, Villegas “made the naughty list.”
