LONG BEACH – A man who ran over a woman who was thrown to the ground at a Long Beach gas station on 12/15/19 faces stiff state-prison time. Harrison Samuel Bowser (dob 7/1/89) of Los Angeles just got slapped with a murder charge added to the case filed against him for his role in a dastardly-duo throwdown leading to the demise of a Long Beach woman.
The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office added the charge of murder on 12/26/19 to amend Case NA113459. Long Beach Police Department Investigators have conducted the ongoing investigation which started with a fight at a gas station on the 400 block of West Anaheim Street.
Codefendant Samantha Smith (dob 11/3/93) of Long Beach allegedly fought victim Elizabeth Perez-Espino (25) and threw her on the ground. “Bowser, who was there with Smith, later ran over the victim and fled the scene,” prosecutors added. “Perez-Espino died as a result of her injuries on Dec. 22nd.”
Bowser is charged with “one count each of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence as well as one count each of hit-and-run driving resulting in injury to another person and assault with a deadly weapon, a truck.”
Smith’s one felony count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury casts a pall on the amended complaint scheduled on 12/26/19 in Dept S01 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Long Beach Branch.
The dastardly duo faces hard jail time. For her part, Smith faces a possible maximum sentence of four years in prison. A possible 15 years-to-life maximum sentence in state prison awaits Bowser, if convicted as charged.
