43-year old James Fuchs, of Fair Oaks, was arrested on New Year’s Eve in connection to a burglary on the 9700-block of Sierra College Boulevard in Roseville.
Deputy Camalo was responding to the area for an emergency alarm activation Tuesday night, when she saw a man leaving the property carrying what appeared to be industrial wiring/cables. Just as the deputy was attempting to contact the man, he took off running into a nearby neighborhood.
Placer County Sheriff’s deputies and Roseville police officers established a perimeter while CHP’s Air 21 flew overhead. The air unit identified a heat source on scene and directed deputies and K9 units to the suspect who was hiding up in a tree. He was detained without incident.
The cables Fuchs stole were valued at $300. Fuchs was arrested and charged with being on private property, petty theft and evading a peace officer.
Thank you to the California Highway Patrol and City of Roseville, California Police Department for their assistance in apprehending Fuchs.
