Modesto Police Department’s Gang Unit has arrested five individuals believed to be affiliated with the Nortenos street gang.
Investigators believe they had intercepted the early stages of the assembling of crews to carry out coordinated home invasion robberies.
The five suspects arrested are Edgar Garcia (19), Edgar Mendez (22), Nestor Garcia (33), Jesus Regalado (18), and a 16-year-old juvenile, all of Modesto.
Police say the suspects were in possession of loaded handguns, masks, and gloves at the time of their arrests.
