Sonora man already on probation gets booked for public intoxication, vehicle tampering

“26-year-old Francisco A. Rico of Sonora was arrested for tampering with vehicles, public intoxication, and for a violation of felony probation.
Just prior to 2:00 p.m. yesterday, the Sonora Police Department received a call regarding several subjects pulling on vehicle door handles in a public parking lot on Snell Street. When officers arrived on scene, one teen fled the area.
Among those remaining was Francisco Rico who witnesses described as the primary person trying to get into a parked car. Rico was determined to be intoxicated and was also on felony probation for assault charges. The teen who fled the scene was ultimately identified and charges are being sought against him for obstructing justice.
Rico was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for his crimes.”
