MORRO BAY – A report of a physical altercation came to officers at the Morro Bay Police Department on the afternoon of January 25.
Arriving officers discovered at least two male subjects who had been involved in a physical altercation in which one of the two males became injured.
Victim Andrew McTaggart had been stabbed in his upper chest. Although he went to the hospital, McTaggart later died from his injury.
53-year-old Sean Maneely was detained at the scene. He knew the victim and apparently had previously got into an argument with him.
Maneely was taken to the San Luis Obispo County Jail and booked on one count of homicide.
