Modesto PD accepting applications for 9-week Citizens Academy

“The Modesto Police Department is accepting applications for our nine week Citizens Academy, set to begin March 26, 2020. The course, which includes numerous presentations during two-hour sessions on Thursday evenings from 6 PM to 8 PM, will take an in-depth look at MPD’s safety services. This eye-opening academy gives citizens a better understanding of how our department operates. Topics explored include crime prevention, trauma training, gangs, laws of arrest, social media awareness, K9 & SWAT demonstrations and more.
The minimum age to apply is 16 years of age. There is no age limit.
