Sexually Violent Predator Hearing – Jacumba Hot Springs (Rescheduled Date)

A pending reassignment of a convicted sex offender has prompted an alert to the community from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department –
“If you live in the East County, the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) has recommended the placement of Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Michael Poulsom at 45612 Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs. He was convicted in the 1990s of committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
While this address falls within the jurisdiction of the Boulevard/Jacumba Sheriff’s Office, THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT OR SAFE TASK FORCE (SEXUAL ASSAULT FELONY ENFORCEMENT) ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SELECTION OF THE PROPOSED SITE. THAT SELECTION PROCESS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DSH AND THE SAN DIEGO SUPERIOR COURT.
A public forum regarding the proposed location will be held before it is finalized by the court. Comments will be accepted during the hearing on:
