“That thought most likely crossed the mind of an observant community member who saw what they believed to be two men sitting inside of a car using illegal drugs in a shopping center on Harbison Drive this past Thursday night.
Shortly after 7:00 pm, officers arrived and located the vehicle in question. As officers contacted the two occupants, 24 year-old Jonathan Kaddu and 22 year-old Richard Naranjo (both from Vacaville), the officers saw drug paraphernalia inside the car. Additionally, Kaddu was found to be on probation.
Officers searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, heroin and a loaded handgun.
Naranjo was arrested for violating several narcotic and firearm related charges. Kaddu was arrested for narcotics related charges and a probation violation. Both were taken to Solano County Jail.
We are continuously grateful for the partnership we have with our community members who know when something seems suspicious in what is expected to be and upheld as a very safe shopping center. We are more successful in keeping our city safe by working together. We are also grateful that both of these men were compliant during this incident which ended safely for all involved.”
