A registered sex offender was arrested after detectives found him growing and distributing marijuana inside his bedroom at a new residence, which he had also failed to register.
The suspect, 41-year-old Joshua Soukesian, was discovered during a compliance check of 158 registered sex offenders residing in Rancho Cucamonga. The operation was carried out by Rancho Cucamonga deputies and detectives along with San Bernardino County probation officers on January 26, 2020.
Soukesian had allegedly moved from his previously registered address and not registered his new location. He was finally located at his new residence, located in the 8600 Block of Mignonette Street in Rancho Cucamonga, where detectives executed a search warrant on the morning of February 13th.
The suspect was indeed inside. “During the search, investigators found him to be growing marijuana in his bedroom and furnishing it to other people,” according to the release. “Investigators also located a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun in the home, accessible to Soukesian, who is a convicted felon.”
Soukesian was subsequently arrested and is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.
