QUINCY – While patrolling around Quincy Junction and Chandler Road on February 15th, an officer with the Quincy CHP saw a white male as he walked on the road.
In the officer’s estimation, the male was”acting suspicious.” This estimation was proven accurate when, after the male walked into a culvert and the officer exited his vehicle and approached him, it was learned that the man had a no bail warrant for his arrest.
Jacob Leo Rice Jr. was wanted in Butte County and was taken into custody without incident.
Rice had fled from a traffic stop two days prior and law enforcement agencies were logging reported sightings of the suspect throughout the area, until his arrest.
