In one evening, the Madera Police Department reported two different DUI drivers causes collisions that led to their arrests –
“This evening, officers made two DUI arrests that were involved in traffic collisions.
The first was Gabriel Bonola who drove his vehicle into a fence and landscape in the 1500 block of Tulare.
Although he did not consume alcohol, he was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.
We later arrested Miguel Martinez Suarez for DUI and hit and run. He was involved in a collision on L St. and Yosemite which resulted in a passenger being transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
Miguel is under the age of 21 and his BAC was over two times the legal limit. We as a community must work together and not allow our friends, family, or acquaintances to drive while under the influence. SB3372″
