Here comes a story from the Stockton CHP official Facebook page –
“Stockton CHP remains committed to the mission behind the RCAID campaign. This passed weekend Officer Smith and Officer Jones teamed up with several officers to conduct some specialized enforcement to locate and remove impaired drivers from the road.
While on patrol, the officers located a driver passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, at a signal light. After a DUI investigation was completed, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken off the road and into custody.
With so many available choices to get home safely, please plan ahead. Designate a sober driver, call a friend, call a taxi, order an Uber or Lyft. A poor choice may not just effect you. DUI collisions have devastating effects on families.
If you choose to chance it and put everyone’s lives around you at risk, CHP will be actively hunting you. The RCAID grant is putting more officers on the road to combat impaired drivers.
Stay tuned for the next adventure of Alias SMITH&JONES………”
