FRESNO – Just after midnight on March 5 a call came in to the Fresno Police Department about a residential burglary in progress.
Although the occupant was not present, a witness saw two suspicious suspects walking out of the residence.
The witness provided police with descriptions of the pair as well as what direction they were walking in.
Therefore, officers shortly spotted and detained them a block away.
Each suspect had property stolen from the residence on them and were positively identified by the witness as the two seen leaving earlier.
22-year-old Mauricio Tellez and Christopher V. Brooks, both homeless, were arrested and booked for residential burglary.
