“On March 2, deputies arrested DeMaria Adger, 24 years old, of Oakland, Marcus Samuel, 29 years, of Antioch for firearm violations, and Sonoma County native, Olympus Pereira, 26 years old, now of Hayward, for possession of narcotics for sale.

At approximately 4:49 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of Blank Road to conduct a welfare check of two toddlers. Deputies had information that Pereira, a convicted felon, was staying at the house. Pereira was also on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Deputies arrived, knocked on the front door of the house, and announced their presence. The deputies heard loud, moving noises inside. A deputy went to the back of the house and heard glass breaking.

The deputy heard the sound of a metal object hitting the asphalt and looked down to see a black handgun sliding across the pavement. A male jumped out of the window, picked up the pistol and tossed it over a fence. The male was later identified as Adger. The deputy saw a second male jumping out the window, right after Adger. The second male was later identified as Samuels. Samuels and Adger fled towards the back of the property in a northern direction.

Sheriff’s helicopter Henry 1 heard the radio traffic and responded to the scene to assist deputies with finding Adger and Samuels. Samuels was found hiding in a creek bed on Paulson Lane by a Petaluma Police Department canine and surrendered. Adger was found by a Santa Rosa Police Department canine and surrendered. An alert California Highway Patrol Officer saw Pereira in the area and detained him.

Deputies conducted a probation search of Pereira’s car and found a large amount of Oxycodone pills.

Deputies completed a welfare check on the two toddlers and found them to be in good health.

Adger was arrested for felon in possession of a gun, felon in possession of ammunition, obstructing a police officer, possession of a loaded stolen gun in public, and violation of PRCS. Adger is being held without bail.

Samuel was arrested for having a large capacity magazine, possession of an unserialized firearm and obstructing a police officer. His bail is set at $20,000.

Pereira was arrested for obstructing a police officer, possession of narcotics for sale and violation of PRCS. Pereira is being held without bail.”
