Modoc County Sheriff issues press release on stabbing investigation

“Alturas, California, March 9, 2020, – For Immediate Release. Early Monday morning, Modoc County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 Blk., of County Road 65 in the unincorporated town of Likely for a possible stabbing. When deputies and CHP officers arrived at the residence, they found one man deceased and another seriously injured from apparent stab wounds. Both men were located inside the decedent’s residence.
The Sheriff’s Office spent the day processing the scene and collecting items of interest pertinent to the investigation.
This case is currently under investigation and additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available. The Sheriff’s Office believes that this is an isolated incident and the public is not at risk.
