Modesto Police have made multiple arrests in connection to a marijuana deal gone awry that resulted in one person being shot.
On February 29, an illegal marijuana deal in a parking lot at 2900 Standiford Avenue went sideways when the person trying to buy the marijuana allegedly tried to steal it instead.
One of the people in the robber’s vehicle was then reportedly hit by gunfire from a person in the seller’s vehicle. Their injuries were fortunately not life-threatening.
Following a two-week investigation and the serving of five search warrants, the suspected shooter — a 17-year-old juvenile — was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Two other juvenile males, ages 14 and 17, were also arrested and charged with robbery and being minors in possession of guns.
18-year-old Robert Sirl, believed to have been a passenger in the robber’s vehicle, has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
