The Modesto Police Department official Facebook page reports on the arrest of five people involved in two shootings on March 12 –
“It’s been a busy week for MPD Detectives. Yesterday, March 12, 2020, five arrests were made in connection with two gang related shootings that occurred in Modesto on March 11, 2020. The first shooting occurred around 12:20 pm near Johnson and Grant Street. It was reported a passenger in a white Kia Soul fired shots towards a passing vehicle.
A short time later we received reports of a second shooting with the same vehicle description near the 400 block of East Coolidge resulting in a 30-year-old male being struck. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and transported himself to a local hospital.
Detectives from MPD’s Violent Crimes Unit, Street Gang Unit and Major Crimes Unit where able to gather evidence that helped identify the shooter in both incidents and several others associated with the investigation resulting in the arrest of 19-year-old Andreuss Brown of Modesto.
Brown was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and numerous gun charges. Others arrested during the course of this investigation were:
28-year-old Jason Sheard, charged with weapon charges, 19-year-old Booker Beck, charged with weapon charges, 27-year-old Deandre Blacks, arrested on weapons charges and a misdemeanor warrant and 25-year-old William Isiah Sisco, arrested on a parole violation. All suspects were from Modesto.
