Child pornography is illegal to produce and possess, and another person has been arrested in connection with it according to this press release by the San Jose Police Department –
“San Jose – The San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force/Child Exploitation Detail (CED) arrested Matthew Joseph Goulart for Possession of Child Pornography (felony) – 311.11 PC.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2020, ICAC Task Force investigators received a cyber tip that suspect Matthew Goulart was in possession of child pornography. During the follow-up investigation, detectives located child pornography, and learned Goulart has a history of working with young children as a music teacher in the bay area including San Jose, Belmont, and San Carlos.
Detectives arrested Goulart in Palo Alto later the same day and subsequently booked him into Santa Clara County Jail for the above listed charges. In addition, detectives served a search warrant at Goulart’s residence in San Jose as part of the ongoing investigation.
