The Amador County Sheriff’s Office reports of a female DUI driver who just wouldn’t stop at first –
“While conducting routine patrols in the City of Plymouth, one of our deputies was flagged down by a citizen who reported he was just involved in a vehicle collision and the vehicle that struck him fled eastbound on Shenandoah Road towards Fiddletown Road.
When the Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the vehicle fled towards Fiddletown at which time a pursuit ensued.
The pursuit made its way back to Shenandoah Road and eventually ended with the vehicle crashing through a fence, driving through an empty pasture and ultimately came to rest in a creek near the intersection of Shenandoah Road and Shenandoah School Road.
The female suspect was presumed to be intoxicated and was taken to the Sutter Amador Emergency Room where she was medically cleared prior to being booked into the Amador County Jail.
53 year old Shelly Carter from Brentwood is currently in custody for evading, driving under the influence, resisting a peace officer and is being held on $75,000.00 bail”
