“At approximately 6:15 P.M. on 3/23/20 the Auburn Police Department dispatch center received a report of a burglar alarm activation at a business in the 800 block of Lincoln Way in the city of Auburn.
As the officers responded the information was being updated to indicate two males had entered a closed business and appeared to be attempting to steal items from within the business. With assistance from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office responding officers detained two 16 year old males fleeing the scene. Both subjects were visually confirmed to have been the subjects seen in the business and both subsequently admitted to committing the burglary.
The investigation also found that one of the juveniles had entered an open business nearby and stolen personal items from an employee of that business. Nearly all of the stolen items were returned to the businesses and employee; however; one yellow mountain bike, owned by an employee of the closed business, is still outstanding.
Both juveniles were booked into the Placer County Juvenile Hall for the violations.”
