Man Smashes Woman’s Windshield, Punches Her in the Face
A few hours into March 21, 2020, Mendocino County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a home on the 1900 block of East Hill Road in Willits, CA; a fight had broken out.
Deputies arrived at the scene and acted quickly to separate two male subjects actively fighting inside a small travel trailer. An adult female was also at the scene. She was observed suffering from a severe injury to her nose and face.
Deputies interviewed the individuals and got the back story. 24-year old Shannon Henson was angry with the female victim after learning she had inherited the property in which they resided. He acted out his anger by smashing the windshield of her truck. When the female confronted Henson about the smashed windshield, he punched her in the face, causing the injury. Her husband and others stopped Henson from inflicting more bodily harm upon the woman.
The woman was transported to a local hospital by ambulance while Henson, who is currently on Mendocino County Probation, was arrested for battery with serious injury inflicted, felony vandalism, and violation of probation.
He was booked at the Mendocino County Jail with bail set at $35,000.
