On November 20, 2019 the visitor’s center of the Bureau of Land Management San Joaquin River Gorge Recreation Area was burglarized and vandalized.
Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies were called to take the report. On December 16, 2019, the San Joaquin River Gorge was hit again.
This time the burglars made off with $5,600 in power tools. On February 14, 2020, an ATV was stolen and on March 14, 2020, the PG&E Kerckhoff Powerhouse #2 was vandalized and burglarized of tools.
Evidence and a collaborate effort with the Bureau of Land Management employees helped identify the suspects: 20-year old Braxton Stark of Tollhouse; 19-year old Victor Rios of Auberry; and 22-year old Dalton Bradley of Auberry.
The three were arrested on March 21, 2020. Stark was arrested for burglary, auto theft, and a probation violation.
He remains at the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $175,000.
Rios was arrested for burglary and vehicle theft. He remains at the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
Bradley was arrested for possession of stolen property and resisting a police officer. His charges are misdemeanors and he has since been cited of out jail.
