“Early Sunday morning, the sheriff’s office received a report of a burglary to a residence on Caylor Drive in Soulsbyville. The reporting victim told dispatch a window at her house had been broken and her purse was missing.
When deputies arrived, they learned the victim hosted a birthday party. Once the birthday party was over, the victim had a disagreement with an attendee, 29-year-old Angela Young of Copperopolis. The victim and her boyfriend left their house for a short time. When they left, Angela was standing outside. When they came back, they noticed Angela had left in her vehicle. They found the window of a door was broken and someone had entered the house. The victim determined her purse had been stolen from the house.
While deputies were conducting their investigation, they were advised Sonora CHP located Angela sitting with her car in a ditch a short distance from the victim’s house. Angela was determined to be intoxicated and was in possession of the victim’s purse. Angela was arrested and booked for residential burglary and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.”
