POMONA – The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of Pomona PD was called upon to enforce illegal activity at 1425 E. Mission Blvd. Numerous complaints were received about suspicious violations occurring in a Red-Tagged, uninhabitable building.
While the State of California deems the use of marijuana legal, sales within the city of Pomona are prohibited. SIU stepped in regarding operation without a permit on 04/08/2020 at 12:27 PM.
“This location refused to comply with the city’s request to cease the illegal activity,” said SIU Corporal Paul Lucifora. “These investigations are sensitive and all efforts to stop the activities are exhausted before Police action is taken.”
The investigation team recovered in excess of 17 pounds of marijuana, more than 37 pounds of marijuana products and two Firearms. The anonymous suspects under further investigation have been charged with H&S 11366 – Operating and Maintaining a Drug House.
“The police department takes these complaints seriously and makes concerted efforts to address illegal businesses and the related quality of life issues,” said Corporal Lucifora. “The Special Investigations Unit wants to ensure the community that they prioritize their investigations and address all crimes from city violations to serious, violent felonies.”
