On April 16, 2020, Madera Police officers were alerted to a prowler/residential burglary in progress, with possible armed suspects.
Before officers arrived, the suspects left. Officers had the description of the car: a red, four-door sedan.
They found the car on the 600 block of South Madera Avenue. Police conducted a traffic stop, deemed high-risk because the possible involved handgun.
The car pulled over and out ran one suspect, leaving two others in the car.
All three were detained and a search of the car confirmed the existence of a loaded, .40 S&W handgun.
The suspects, identified as 19-year old Armando Sarabia, 19-year old Jonathan Echevarria, and 18-year old Juan Solis, were arrested for burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, gang enhancement, and gang member in possession of a loaded firearm.
The trio was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections and all have bonded out since.
