ELK GROVE – On Friday April 24, 19-year-old Donovan Jordan Scott used a social media app to contact at least two people in an attempt to set up a marijuana buy.
The meet-up was set up. When the sellers arrived, Scott showed them the gun he had brought along.
Soon, there went Scott, with his gun, as well as the marijuana and money belonging to his online “friends.”
Video surveillance footage from a nearby residence showed the vehicle that Scott fled in, And then the search began.
Soon officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of Scott’s parked, with the engine warm (thanks to a thermal imaging camera operated from an air unit).
Jordan-Scott shortly left from the vehicle and was detained and arrested.
